Publish Time:2022-03-07 04:13

From June 1, the national standards for paper cups issued by the AQSIQ and the National Standards Commission will be formally implemented. Disposable paper cups should meet the following standards:

Cannot print in 15mm cup mouth

Previously disposable cups have been the only industry standard and lack national standards. This national standard (GB/T 27590-2011) puts forward higher requirements for paper cup raw materials, additives, packaging, printing, etc. to ensure the safety of consumers.

The most concern is the first request for the printing position, which stipulates that the printing pattern on the outside of the paper cup should be clearly outlined, uniform in color, and free from visible stains. However, the cup mouth should not be printed within 15 mm from the cup body and 10 mm from the cup body. ".

"There is no printing at the cup's mouth to protect the consumers." Dong Jinshi, executive vice president and general secretary of the International Food Packaging Association, said that there is no concept of food-grade ink and there is no printing ink that can be used to contact food. When you drink water, your lips come into contact with the mouth. The ink in the printed pattern may be ingested. In particular, the benzene-containing ink is more harmful to health. At the same time, when the cup is set, there is a printed pattern on the bottom of the cup, and it is easy to carry the color to the inner wall of another cup. Therefore, the bottom also requires that there is no printing.

● Fluorescent brightener cannot be added artificially

In the production of paper cups of raw materials, in order to avoid the production of toxic solvents, the national standard provides that paper cups should not have odor, should not use recycled materials, additives used in raw materials should comply with the provisions of the implementation of standards, fluorescent brighteners, industrial paraffin, industrial talc Additives such as powder that are not in the scope of GB 9685 cannot be used for the production of processed paper cups.

Dong Jinshi said that this means, “Even the scraps that are contaminated in the workshop must not be used for the production and processing of paper base paper. All raw materials and additives should meet the requirements for food packaging, and artificial additives should not be added.” And encouragement Use water-based inks, UV-curable inks, vegetable oil inks and other energy-saving and environmentally friendly inks to produce paper cups.

In addition, the standard also stipulates the stiffness and permeability of the paper cup. The bottom and sides of the paper cup should not leak or seep. If the paper cup is too soft, it will not reach the standard. All packaging materials for paper cups must have adequate tightness and firmness. Paper cups should be dust-proof, moisture-proof, and mildew-proof.
